St. Joseph's Church in Central was established in 1871, is one of the earliest Catholic churches in Hong Kong. It was first rebuilt after being destroyed by a typhoon. The current St. Joseph's Church is the third generation that was rebuilt in the late 60s. Using lake blue as the main color, St. Joseph’s Church references a boat as its design concept, which is a metaphor for helping the world with the Gospel. Its vertical glass windows and the straight lines hidden are similar to the water owing gently through the hull, and also like the wooden boards that composed it, which has accompanied St. Joseph's Church to sail for many years.
於 1871 年建立的中環聖若瑟堂是香港最早期的天主教會之一，它曾被 颱風摧毀後首次重建，現時的聖若瑟堂已是六十年代末再次重建的第 三代聖堂。選用湖水藍作為主色調，聖若瑟堂以船為設計概念，比喩教 會以福音幫助世人，其直立玻璃窗及隱藏在各處的直線，像是船身輕 輕流過的水，也像是緊密組成船身的木板，多年來伴讀着聖若瑟堂揚帆出海。
